We had a nice BBQ with some members of the RASC Winnipeg Centre who were in Mazatlan for the April 2024 Eclipse. The theme of the evening was planning our next eclipse fix!

August 12 2026 – Iceland
We are currently planning on heading to Iceland for the 2026 eclipse. While the centreline of the eclipse does not make landfall at all, there are a couple of peninsulas on the western part of the island that are pretty close. Taking a ship is beyond our budget!

August 2, 2027 Spain/Morocco
We are likely going to be in Spain/Morocco/Algeria for 2027 as Egypt is already probably booked full, the temps there are going to be upwards of 42C, and the political situation in the area is troubling. Oran in Algiers also interesting, safety has been much better there since the civil war in the 1990s and in the Northern tourist areas it is safe and full of history.
